North Korean troops at the front – how many soldiers are fighting in the Kursk region – UNIAN

Now intelligence officers are working to uncover the losses of the DPRK forces and the number of soldiers who surrendered.

Currently, there are about 10,900 military personnel from the DPRK in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. According to South Korean intelligence, the force was deployed as part of a Russian airborne unit and a marine unit.

This was announced by member of the parliamentary intelligence committee Lee Song Kwen with reference to the National Intelligence Service, writes Reuters. According to him, some of these soldiers are already participating in battles against the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The spy agency is now trying to determine the exact number of casualties among North Korean troops and whether any of them surrendered. So far, there is conflicting information on these two issues.
