Researchers at the MARA Institute of Technology in Malaysia found that adding saffron to your daily diet resulted in a noticeable reduction in the level of “bad” cholesterol in the blood in just 3 weeks.

The study results were published in the Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences. The experiment was carried out on rodents: in 21 days, their cholesterol levels decreased by an impressive 39-50%.
