Some Ukrainian parents take their sons abroad before they reach their 18th birthday so that they avoid military service. These are far from isolated cases. Verkhovna Rada deputy Georgiy Mazurashu spoke about this on LIVE.
“There are individual cases where parents currently waited for children to finish 11th grade and took them abroad before their 18th birthday,” the people’s deputy said.
According to him, in order to avoid problems with leaving for 17-year-old children, certain parents arrange for them to move to other countries even before graduating from high school.
