Huriy was a Christian priest who served in the city of Caesarea Cappadocia (modern Turkey). According to the legend, Guriy was initially possessed by many torments and tortures because of his refusal to renounce his faith in Christ. After persistently refusing to abdicate, he and two of his brothers were executed.
Samon — was probably a friend and comrade of Guria. He, like his companions, was an active preacher of Christianity. When the persecution of Christians began, he suffered together with others for his faith and was martyred.
