Russian fighter Usman Nurmagomedov (18-0) published on his Instagram page photos from training before the fight with the Irishman Paul Hughes (13-1), Sports.kz reports.
“Five weeks until the fight. We will be 100 percent ready, inshaAllah,” Nurmagomedov wrote.
The fight between Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes will take place on January 25 in Dubai (UAE) as part of the Bellator Champions Series tournament. Nurmagomedov will put the Bellator lightweight champion belt on the line – this will be the Russian’s third title defense. Usman has been competing in the Bellator league since 2021. He fought his last fight in September – he defeated the Russian fighter Alexander Shabliy (24-4) by unanimous decision.
