One of the main writers of Disco Elysium has opened a fundraiser to survive the winter

The developer almost ended up living on the street.

Argo Tuulik, one of the main writers of Disco Elysium, who was responsible for writing many of the game's characters, has launched a fundraiser to help survive the winter. The developer was left without money after legal proceedings with his former employer.

In October of this year, several “spiritual successors” to Disco Elysium were announced. Tuulik worked on one of them at Longdue Games, the screenwriter entered into a partnership with the head of the company, Riaz Mula. Soon Mula began using the developer’s name in order to attract investors to the project, which Tuulik did not like. In the end, Mula demanded that the screenwriter take a leadership position in the company making another, already third, “spiritual successor” to Disco Elysium….
