Oreshnik missile – ISW assessed Putin’s threats regarding strikes on Kyiv – UNIAN
Analysts emphasized that the Russians regularly attack the capital of Ukraine.
Russian Ruler Vladimir Putin's efforts to highlight the technical characteristics of the Oreshnik missile are part of a broader information campaign. However, ISW notes that there is nothing new in the capabilities of this ammunition, and therefore its use will not lead to further escalation in the war.
According to analysts, focusing on the range and payload of the missile, comparing its destructive potential with the capabilities of a meteor, is intended to intimidate Ukraine and the West, as well as prevent Kyiv from continuing to attack the Russian Federation with foreign long-range weapons.
