Europe is actively discussing the idea of stationing peacekeepers in Ukraine to prevent a resumption of war after peace is concluded. But this will only make sense if it is a powerful army ready for battle, and not just neutral observers, writes Franz-Stefan Gadi, a senior fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies on cyber power and future conflicts, in an opinion piece for Foreign Policy.
He noted that for all three years Europe has avoided making strong decisions in support of Ukraine and, it seems, has only now realized the scale of the risks that arise for it in the event of a Russian victory.
