Plane crash in Kazakhstan – Budanov commented on the incident – UNIAN
The plane could have been shot down by the Russian Pantsir S1 missile system.
On December 25, a plane crash occurred in Kazakhstan; a passenger plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that the plane was shot down.
“As far as we know, the plane was shot down by a Russian Pantsir S1 anti-aircraft missile system on Russian territory,” he said in a comment to The War Zone.
A video taken by a passenger before the crash showed “fragmentation holes in the fuselage consistent with damage from a Russian surface-to-air missile,” the authors write, citing the Twitter account of the Azeri Times news publication. Another video taken inside the plane also shows fragmentation damage.
