A Jeju Air passenger plane crashed in South Korea. While landing at Muan International Airport in the southwest of the country, the airliner skidded off the runway, crashed into a fence and exploded, Yonhap writes.
It is noted that the plane crash occurred at 9:07 am local time. The plane was flying from Bangkok. There were 175 passengers and six crew members on board at the time of the accident.
The network showed footage showing that the plane flew into the fence at speed and exploded. Rescue work continues at the scene, the causes of the disaster are unknown. 179 people are listed as missing.
