The Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent who tried to carry out sabotage in the Kirovohrad region by setting fire to an electrical substation that supplies the military airfield.

The 21-year-old local resident was recruited by the FSB in August 2024 because of his pro-Russian statements in Telegram. In order to carry out “verification” tasks, he collected information about the technical condition of energy facilities and the location of military hospitals and TCC buildings, which he transmitted to his curator via messenger.
The last task of the traitor was to penetrate the territory of the key electrical substation of the region. He was supposed to set her on fire with a flammable mixture, and then extinguish the fire.
