Football player of the LSU club from Quito and the Ecuador national team Marco Angulo died at the age of 22 as a result of severe injuries received in a car accident.

The press service of LSU reported the tragic news.

On October 7, he was involved in a terrible road accident that claimed the lives of three people. Marko himself was urgently hospitalized, doctors fought for his life for more than a month, but could not save him. The football player was in a coma for 35 days and died on November 11.

Angulo had a pelvic fracture, right-sided pneumothorax, cerebral edema, subdural hematoma, and internal hemorrhage.

At the club level, Marco managed to play for “Independiente”, in the MLS for “Cincinnati”, and the last club in his career was LSU from Quito. He also played two matches for the national team of Ecuador.
