Pokrovsk today – Ukraine is deploying a new brigade – UNIAN
The 155th Mechanized Brigade began to deploy to Pokrovsk, with German tanks, French howitzers and 2,000 new soldiers at its disposal.
The new Ukrainian mechanized brigade and its Leopard 2 tanks could strengthen the defense of Pokrovsk – just ahead of a possible Russian offensive, Forbes writes.

Christmas in Pokrovsk passed in alarming silence. This city, an important transport hub for the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, had a population of about 60,000 until February 2022, when Russia launched a war against Ukraine. Now there are very few civilians left in the city – mainly the Ukrainian army is located here.
