Poland will arrest Netanyahu if he comes to the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz: the reason is the World
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland explains that they have to act in this way because of the country's obligations before the International Criminal Court.
If Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrives in Poland, he will be arrested in accordance with the country's obligations to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
This was stated by Polish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Władysław Bartoszewski in a comment to the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita, the Jerusalem Post reports.
Bartoszewski's comment was made in the context of Poland's preparations for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, which will take place on January 27 this year.
“The anniversary is usually a big state event. However, Israeli officials refused to confirm whether Netanyahu will be admitted to the event, and the participation of President Isaac Herzog also seems unlikely,” the newspaper writes.
