Prices are breaking records: one of the salad vegetables has become more expensive in Ukraine

In Ukraine, the price of greenhouse cucumbers has increased. One of the reasons was the decrease in the supply of imported products on the domestic market.
This was reported by the analysts of the EastFruit project.
As of November 22, wholesale batches of greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine went on sale at UAH 90-120/kg ($2.19-2.92/kg), depending on the variety, quality and volume of the batch of products offered. A week earlier, the price range in this segment of the market was within 70-100 UAH/kg ($1.7-2.43/kg).
Market operators noted that the supply of imported vegetables has now decreased and cannot fully cover all requests from buyers, which does not contribute to the stabilization of the price situation in this segment.
Analysts noted that currently Ukrainian factories ship cucumbers at an average of 33% more expensive than during the same period in 2023.
