Product Named That Protects Against Life-Threatening Stroke – Health
Scientists from Guangxi Medical University (China) have found that eating chili pepper or dishes based on it at least once a week reduces the risk of dangerous ischemic stroke, Sports.kz reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.
The study results were published in the British Journal of Nutrition (BJN).
More than 50 thousand adults took part in the study. They provided information about their diet and how often they consumed fresh chili peppers or chili sauce, and added dried fruits of the plant to their meals.
The results showed that eating fresh peppers or a spicy dish reduced the risk of ischemic stroke by 13%.
