Protests erupt in Georgia after announcement of refusal of EU accession negotiations

Protests broke out in Georgia after the country's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced his refusal to negotiate accession to the EU. People gathered near the central office of the ruling pro-Russian Georgian Dream party and the parliament building in Tbilisi.
According to Ekho Kavkaza, the protest action was organized through social networks. There is already information about the first clashes with security forces and arrests.
Georgian President Salomi Zurabishvili also appeared at the rally. She headed to Freedom Square, where special forces had gathered.
“Do you serve Russia or Georgia? To whom did you take an oath? I’m interested in the answer. You don’t answer,” she turned to the security forces.
