In Tbilisi, mass street protests against the government and its pro-Russian policies have been ongoing for 10 days. This evening, protesters and journalists began to be beaten by unknown persons in civilian clothes, who are already being called “titushkas,” NewsGeorgia reports.

“The incident occurred today on Purtseladze Street. It was witnessed by dozens of people. Eyewitnesses say that a group of people in masks and black clothes suddenly ran up to the demonstrators, knocked them down and began to beat them. (…) Eyewitnesses say that the police were nearby, but not reacted,” one such case is reported.

In another case, the police nevertheless drew up a report on the attackers, but detained no one…
