In Ukraine, May 21 will be celebrated as the Day of Interethnic Harmony and Cultural Diversity.
This is stated in the corresponding decree No. 883/2024 of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. They envisage establishing a Day of Interethnic Harmony and Cultural Diversity in the country, which will be celebrated annually on May 21.
It is noted that it is intended to establish the celebration of such a day in order to strengthen the unity and harmony of the Ukrainian people, affirm Ukrainian national and civil identity, promote the free development of the cultural diversity of indigenous peoples and national minorities (communities) of Ukraine, demonstrate respect for their contribution to upholding state sovereignty, etc. ..
