Purchase of drones for Ukraine: Britain allocated a new aid package


The strike and reconnaissance drones will be procured through a drone coalition led by Britain and Latvia.

British Defense Minister John Gealy made it clear that Britain's defense begins with Ukraine. Therefore, the British government intends to activate and accelerate the supply of weapons.

This is stated in a press release published on the British government website.

Great Britain is expanding its military support for Ukraine and has timed the 1,000th day of the war to allocate a large funding package for the purchase of drones in the amount of 9 million euros. The money will come through a drone coalition led by Great Britain and Latvia.

As a sign of the unity of Great Britain and its allies, the drone coalition will receive an additional more than 19 million euros:

  • 12 million from Germany;
  • 3.6 million — from Canada;
  • 3.6 million euros – from Luxembourg.
