The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that there will be no transit of gas to Europe through Ukraine, as it will not be possible to conclude a contract a few days before the new year.

He spoke about this at a briefing after the Eurasian Economic Union summit, which was broadcast by Russian propagandists.

“There is no contract, and it is impossible to conclude it in 3-4 days,” he said.

According to him, Russia is ready to supply gas through Ukraine under a contract with any counterparty, but this is impossible under the conditions of a lawsuit from Kyiv.

Putin specified that he was referring to the arbitration claim filed by Naftogaz of Ukraine regarding incomplete payment by Gazprom for transit services.
