Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the ratification of the strategic partnership agreement between the Russian Federation and North Korea, which includes provisions on mutual defense.
This became known from the decree of the President of the Russian Federation published on Saturday, November 9, Reuters reports.
The agreement, signed by Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in June 2024 after a summit in Pyongyang, requires each side to come to the aid of the other in the event of an armed attack.
The upper house of the Russian parliament ratified the treaty this week, and the lower house approved it last month.
