Putin rejected Trump's proposal for a peace plan

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin rejected a proposal being developed by US President-elect Donald Trump's team for a possible peace plan.
This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The leader of the Russian Federation, in particular, directly rejected the proposal, which was considered by the Trump team, to delay Ukraine's membership in NATO for at least ten years as a condition for ending the war in Ukraine.
On December 26, Putin responded to a journalist's request to comment on the Trump team's proposal to delay Ukraine's NATO membership for 10-20 years. He stated that it does not matter whether Ukraine joins NATO “today, tomorrow or in 10 years.”
