A satellite image has appeared online that shows the preparation of the Russian R-30 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile. This missile is one of the components of the “nuclear triad” of the Russian Federation and is based on Project 955 Borei nuclear submarines.
As Defense Express reports, the first to draw attention to this image were Russian specialized resources, which claim that it shows the work of the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense, responsible for maintaining nuclear weapons. Such images are rare in the public space, because until now, satellite photographs of the preparatory work on Russian nuclear missiles had been almost never published.
