Representatives of Montenegro refused to participate in Eurovision 2025 – UNIAN
The musicians decided not to wait for their disqualification.
The group NeonoeN, which was supposed to represent Montenegro at the Eurovision 2025 international song contest, refused to participate. This was reported by members of the team of the RTCG television company.
It is known that the musicians recently got into a scandal because of a competition song called “Clickbait”. According to the rules of the show, the composition was supposed to be new, but attentive Eurofans found a video in which the group NeonoeN had already performed it in a slightly modified version in 2023. Therefore, instead of official disqualification, the men decided to voluntarily withdraw their candidacy from the competition.
Now the right to represent Montenegro at Eurovision in Switzerland will be transferred to another artist.
