Rocket Oreshnik has been around for at least 7 years

It seems that there is no “Hazel” after all. Only the name is new, but not the rocket itself.

The medium-range ballistic missile, which Vladimir Putin called the “Oreshnik”, has been around for at least 6-7 years, so it is not entirely new. Defense Express writes about this, citing the results of a study of the wreckage.

The publication received from its own sources a photograph showing the serial number and production date of one of the Oreshnik parts – April 12, 2017. According to experts, this means that the particular missile that the Russians used to hit the Dnieper in November was assembled in 2017 or 2018.
