Roskoshestvo named brands of coffee that should be avoided

Roskachestvo conducted a study of 20 popular instant coffee brands on the Russian market. Experts examined the composition of the products, the presence of possible hazards and compliance with safety standards.

Some brands, such as Jardin, Jacobs, Nescafe, Ambassador Platinum, Moscow Coffee House and Black Card, received high marks for excellent quality and compliance.

However, some manufacturers have not passed the test. Traces of chicory and cereals were found in Italica, Favorit and MacCoffee Favorite products, which may indicate possible counterfeiting.

Rospotrebnadzor and Roskachestvo advise consumers to carefully choose instant coffee:

• Study the composition on the packaging.
• Give preference to well-known brands.
• Avoid purchasing low quality products.
