Rospotrebnadzor: almost 60 percent of those suffering from ARVI in the region

The Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Kirov Region monitored the incidence of city residents. During the 52nd week, the number of ARVI cases decreased by 6.5 percent. In the regional center, 59.3 percent of all cases were recorded.
Among children 0-2 years old, the incidence decreased by 6.4 percent, 3-6 years old – by 9.2 percent, over 15 years old – by 11.2 percent, the epidemiological threshold was not exceeded. Flu was confirmed in two unvaccinated people. COVID-19 has also decreased, and Omicron genovariants are circulating.
To prevent diseases, it is important to remember vaccinations, a healthy lifestyle and personal hygiene. ARVI, influenza and COVID-19 have similar symptoms: high fever, chills, weakness, cough, nasal congestion and others. Complications may include pneumonia and respiratory failure.
