RTX 5090 price – the top card will not just be expensive, but very expensive – UNIAN
If you believe the leak, the price difference between the RTX 5090 and RTX 4080 could be approximately 40%.
Prices for Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 video cards may unpleasantly surprise future buyers. New prices from a Chinese retailer tell us 18,999 Yuan (~$2,600) for the RTX 5090 and 9,999 Yuan (~$1,350) for the RTX 5080.
According to the Tom's Hardware portal, retail prices in China usually differ from American and European ones, since local VAT of 13% is added to the price tag. If you subtract VAT, the prices will be as follows: 1200 for the RTX 5080 and 2200 dollars for the RTX 5090.
These figures are significantly higher than previously expected. For comparison, the current flagship GeForce RTX 4090 was priced at 12,999 yuan. That is, the difference is approximately 40%. Things are better with the more affordable model: the GeForce RTX 5080 went up in price by only 15% – the RTX 4080 cost 9,499 yuan.
