Russia aims to achieve capabilities for new aggression by 2029 – German general

Germany is well aware that what is happening to Ukraine can happen to Germany's eastern neighbors as well.

In Germany, they see signs that the Russian army aims to achieve such capabilities by 2029 that would allow for a new aggression, in particular against a NATO country.

The head of the special staff for Ukrainian affairs under the German Ministry of Defense, General Christian Freuding, said this in a conversation with journalists in Kyiv, “European Truth” reports.

Freuding emphasized that Russia is now and will remain in the foreseeable future the greatest threat to Western Europe and to Europe as a whole.

“We are very clearly aware that what is happening to Ukraine can also happen to Germany's eastern neighbors,” the general said.
