The publication notes that Russia has been using guided bombs for a long time, but still the planes have to fly to a potentially dangerous distance to the front. To reduce these risks, the Russians created a modified bomb “Grom-E1” with a total weight of about 600 kg, equipped with a rocket engine. Thanks to this, the bomb is able to fly up to 120 km after it is dropped from the plane.
