Russia seeks to block Pokrovsk — Muzhenko
According to Muzhenka, Russian troops are trying to bypass Pokrovsk from the south.

This was stated by the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko in an interview for Radio Liberty.
The military said that blocking the city of Pokrovsk “is more profitable for the Russian army, as it allows to minimize its own losses and at the same time creates significant problems for the defense of Ukrainian forces.”
“It will be much cheaper for them, from the point of view and resources, maybe not resources, but from the point of view of their losses. And now they are doing it. They bypass from the south, plan to bypass Pokrovsk and go to the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. And even go to the Dnipropetrovsk region,” the ex-committee noted.
