Russia is using intercontinental ballistic missile strikes on the Dnipro River to send a clear signal to Western countries and try to force them to abandon their support for Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst at the Australian Institute for Strategic Policy, in a comment for CNN.
It is worth noting that although ICBMs are capable of carrying nuclear warheads, the attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine on Thursday morning was not nuclear.
“What is clear is that the Russians removed the nuclear warheads from the missile and launched it either as an inert missile with nothing or possibly with some sort of conventional warhead,” Davis said.
