Russia was deprived of Olympic gold – Biathlon
Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Appeal Division supported the findings of the court's anti-doping commission regarding the Russian biathlete Evgenia Ustyugovawho, according to the department’s conclusion, violated anti-doping rules, Sports.kz reports with reference to Sportbox.ru.
In connection with this decision, Ustyugov was disqualified for four years, and all his results achieved from January 24, 2010 until his retirement from the sport at the end of the 2013/2014 season were canceled, including medals, prizes and points earned. Thus, after the Sochi 2014 gold, Evgeniy will lose two awards from the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver: he won a gold medal in the mass start and a bronze medal in the men's relay.
