Russia withdraws troops from Syria to Libya
Previously, Libya was named as a possible location for a new Russian base in the Mediterranean Sea.
Russia has begun to gradually withdraw troops from Syria. At least some of this equipment is being transferred to a Russian base in Libya. This is the conclusion made by Israeli military expert Yigal Levin, analyzing recent satellite images.
The pictures themselves were published today on social network X by Radio Liberty journalist Mark Krutov. They show the Russian airbase in the city of Al-Jufra (Libya). The images captured the loading or unloading of an Il-76 transport aircraft, as well as new objects that are likely radars.
