Russian drones were shot down in six regions of Ukraine: what is known on December 16
Explosions were heard in a number of regions.
Today, at night and in the morning, the Russians traditionally staged an air attack on Ukraine.
This was reported by the Air Force of Ukraine.
“On the night of December 16, 2024 (from 01:00), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 49 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type and drones of other types from the regions of Bryansk, Orel,” the message reads.
As of 08:30, the downing of 27 “Shahed” attack UAVs and other types of UAVs in Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Khmelnitsky, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk was confirmed.
“Due to the active opposition of the Defense Forces, 19 enemy drones did not reach their targets (they were lost in location). Three UAVs are in the air,” the agency added.
Earlier it was reported that in Khmelnytskyi region Air defense shot down three attack drones.
