Russian ears of terror in the EU – UNIAN
On the night of November 8, Israeli football fans were subjected to mass attacks after a game in Amsterdam (Netherlands). The pogroms began after the Europa League match between the local team Ajax and Maccabi (Tel Aviv). At least ten people were reported injured, ten were missing, and some remained besieged in hotels for hours. The Israeli government sent planes to evacuate affected citizens, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar went on an urgent visit to the Netherlands.
The pogroms lasted nine hours. The police only began to respond in the morning and arrest someone. And although Israel has warned that security needs to be stepped up, this is Europe's relaxed police force. Perhaps they thought it would work out that way.
