Russian language – how many Ukrainians are not ready to give up – UNIAN
According to him, pro-Russian politicians view them as their electorate.
According to various estimates, there are still 15-30% of people in Ukraine who are not ready to give up the Russian language and culture.
The former head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Anton Drobovich, stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. According to him, these Ukrainians are ready to look for compromises and ways to normalize the existence of Russian culture in the country. In addition, they are a potential electorate for pro-Russian politicians:
“Those who have long been “grazing” on the Russian electorate, on Russophiles, on “Pushkins”, understand that this is their potential electorate. The configuration of the end of the war, of course, will greatly affect this (the chances of such politicians in elections – UNIAN)” .
