Russian tanker accident in the Kerch Strait
In 2007, under similar circumstances, 10 km of coastline was polluted.
Two Russian tankers, Volgoneft 212 and Volgoneft 239, crashed in the Kerch Strait area. As Natalya Gozak, director of Greenpeace Ukraine, said on Hromadskoe Radio, up to 8 thousand tons of oil products could end up in the Black Sea, but the Russian Federation, most likely, will not take measures to preserve fauna and human health.
Gozak noted that due to the occupation of this territory by Russia, information about the accident comes only from the news.
