Richard Dearlove believes that it is important to have a dialogue with “your opponents or enemies”.
The British government must come to terms with the fact that the Russians perceive the war in Ukraine as a war with the countries of the West.
This was stated by the former head of the British secret intelligence service MI6, Richard Dearlove, Sky News reports.
“We have to come to terms with the fact that the Russians think they are at war with us,” he emphasized.
Richard Dearlove recalled the words of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who called the current situation a pre-war situation and noted that he was wrong.
“I think this is a real war,” he said.
At the same time, the former head of the secret intelligence service noted that for the Russians this war with the West does not mean a direct military conflict, but “a hybrid conflict or different types…
