Tea lovers will not be pleased to learn that at the end of the year the price of black tea bags is expected to increase significantly – at the level of 7-10 percent. The main reason for this is Russia’s high degree of dependence on imports of tea raw materials. Only 20 percent of the required volumes are produced within the country, the rest has to be imported from outside.

The uncertain geopolitical situation, problems with logistics and unfavorable weather conditions, such as drought in India, can provoke a rise in the price of Indian tea by 20 percent, and are already contributing to rising prices for imported products.
