The United States was not the first to learn about the strike of an experimental intercontinental ballistic missile on Ukraine. On that day, the American embassy issued an urgent warning about the increased threat of an attack and closed the embassy for the day, which quite frightened the rest of the diplomats and the Ukrainians themselves.
