In 2024, it became known about the development of a new Ukrainian missile, Ruta, and on December 10, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the weapon was already being tested. Details about the missile have not been officially disclosed, but Defense Express found out some of the characteristics of this weapon.
The publication shared that “Ruta” is the result of the work of the startup Destinus, which was founded by businessman Mikhail Kokorich who fled the Russian Federation. This company already supplies the Ukrainian Defense Forces with propeller-driven Lord UAVs with a range of 750-2000 km, and deliveries of Ruta began in early 2024.
