Scandal in the 211th brigade – the platoon commander was declared a suspect — Ukraine

The investigation is currently establishing all facts of violence against soldiers in the brigade.

The commander of the platoon 211 of the pontoon-bridge brigade, who mocked subordinate soldiers, was informed of the suspicion. This is about the military official's exceeding his powers, voluntarily leaving the military unit, as well as desertion.

This is reported by the General Prosecutor's Office.

Details

According to the investigation, from February to May 2024, during his stay in the mission area in eastern Ukraine, the suspect repeatedly used violence against at least three servicemen.
