German Chancellor Olaf Scholz does not object to another phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as he believes it will allow him to stop his war of aggression against Ukraine.
He said this in an interview with the German publication t-online.
The head of the German government, which is preparing for early parliamentary elections on February 23, did not reveal the details of his conversation with the master of the Kremlin, but noted that he did not hear from him readiness for peace.
“I used my speech to make it clear to Putin that the war must end. Such conversations are confidential for good reasons – and I adhere to this,” said Olaf Scholz.
