A new study has predicted how many people will die from climate change by 2100.

Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry used advanced numerical modeling to estimate mortality from air pollution and extreme temperatures, the Daily Mail reports.

Their analysis shows that up to 30 million people could die by the end of the century due to climate change and air pollution.

“In 2000, about 1.6 million people died each year from extreme temperatures, both cold and heat,” says Dr. Andrea Pozzer, the team's leader. “By the end of the century, under the most likely scenario, this number will increase to 10.8 million, that is, about seven times. As for air pollution, the annual number of deaths in 2000 was about 4.1 million. …
