Scientists have said when Homo sapiens left Africa and began interbreeding with Neanderthals
Neanderthals inhabited most of Eurasia for hundreds of thousands of years, but their carefree days began to come to an end when Homo sapiens moved north from Africa.
Scientists said they were able to find out when Homo sapiens moved and crossed with Homo neanderthalensis.

It is believed that the brave Homo sapiens first ventured north just over 50,000 years ago and spent around 7,000 years in cozy neighborhood with the Neanderthals.
Researchers have studied the oldest DNA samples ever found and concluded that Homo sapiens are genetically very similar to our ancestors, Homo neanderthalensis, who lived very close to each other in Asia and Europe. The two groups are known to have had children together, and the DNA of modern non-Africans shares 2% DNA with Neanderthals.
