An international team of scientists analyzed data from the GRACE satellites, which record changes in the Earth's gravitational field and allow us to estimate the concentration of water on its surface. It turned out that since 2014, the volume of fresh water has decreased significantly – now it is 1,200 cubic kilometers less than in the period from 2002 to 2014.
