Scientists record record melting of Antarctic – Science and IT

This was announced by scientists at the Australian Antarctic Research Conference.
The East Antarctic ice sheet, which was previously considered stable, attracts special attention of researchers. It is currently showing signs of accelerated melting due to global warming. Rising ocean and atmospheric temperatures, as well as more frequent extreme weather events, exacerbate this process.
