An associate of the US president-elect called the war in Ukraine a “dead end”.
Senator from the Republican Party Marco Rubio, who is called the likely secretary of state in the administration of the US president-elect Donald Trump, believes that the war in Ukraine “has come to a dead end” and it must be stopped.
He said this on Wednesday, November 6, on the air of the Today program on the American NBC channel.
“I think the Ukrainians were incredibly brave and strong when they stood up to Russia. But at the end of the day, this is a stalemate and it has to be brought to an end,” Rubio said.
He added that President-elect Donald Trump “wants the war to end.”
“You don't have to be a fan of Vladimir Putin to want the war to end,” Rubio said.
